February Workshops

Post-Exam Workshops (show details/schedule)

These workshops will give students opportunity for a post-exam opportunity to re-visit skills essential to exam writing. Two 1L professors share insights on what writing a good exam answer entails.
Professor Bill Whitford will hold a 45 minute workshop on how to structure, outline and write a sound answer to a typical law school exam question. In addition, Professor Cecelia Klingele will make a short presentation on how to spot issues in an exam question and how to legally analyze each issue. Taking advantage of these workshops simultaneously help participants put their performance on fall exams in perspective while providing additional tips for success on future exams.

Oral Argument for Moot Court (show details/schedule)

Effective preparation for oral argument begins with brief writing. In addition, there are specific expectations and skills required for a successful oral presentation. This workshop is designed to help participants understand the essentials of oral presentation in a moot court competition setting. Best practices for form and content of an effective oral argument will be addressed.
