Laura Lindner ‘93 of Littler Mendelson, P.C. was recently named the 2012 “Up & Coming Employment Lawyer of the Year” by Chambers USA. Lindner received the award at the ‘Women in Law Awards’ ceremony honoring outstanding female stars in the U.S. legal community. Winners were selected based on rankings from corporate counsel throughout the U.S. Lindner represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Lindner focuses her practice on employment and benefits litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and unfair competition.
Donald E. Laverdure ’99 was recently named interim head of the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs. Laverdure had been deputy assistant secretary since 2009. He was previously the chief legal counsel for the executive branch of the Crow Tribe and has held judgeships with the Crow and other tribes.
