Course Description

An introduction to the law of property, including acquisition of property, private interests in land, future interests, concurrent ownership, landlord and tenant law, interests in the land of another, public interests in land, and the sale of land.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
(1) understand and apply basic principles of American property law;
(2) articulate key arguments for and against significant property-related rules and policies; and
(3) interpret different sources of property law, including judicial decisions, statutes, and regulations.
