Course Description

This section of Constitutional Law II will follow the same substantive pattern of standard Constitutional Law II courses, with emphasis on the leading cases in the field. However, for about twelve of those cases, coverage will include a formal debate on the part of two students, with the rest of the class acting as a court, asking questions of the debaters and deciding how the case should have come out. Much of the rest of the course will be covered by ordinary lecture and Socratic methods of instruction. The course grade will depend entirely on an exam given at the end of the term. The course will count for three credits. Enrollment is limited to about 24 students.
