Anne Bilder '93 has received the President’s Award of Distinction from the University of Wisconsin System Administration. The award honors a UW System Administration staff member whose career has been marked by consistently outstanding contributions to individual institutions and/or UW System Administration.

Bilder is senior system legal counsel in the Office of General Counsel. Her principal practice areas include employment law, student affairs, diversity issues, international programs, risk management and public records and meetings. She has spoken to a wide variety of statewide and regional audiences on topics including student privacy, student discipline and diversity.

Chris Ashley, who nominated and introduced Anne, said, “She is always there when clients need her advice and counsel, she has been an effective advocate for UW System leaders, and she regularly conducts well-received training in a variety of areas. Anne has worked tirelessly to ensure that UW System has been able to vigorously pursue its goals of equity, diversity and inclusion.”
