The Black Law Students Association is hosting a series of presentations, service and networking events through the first week of March to celebrate Black History Month and the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

Included on the roster is the BLSA and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society’s joint panel discussion, “Compensation for College Athletes,” scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12. The discussion, featuring UW Law Professors Linda Greene and Walter Dickey, begins at 7 p.m. in Room 5240 of the Law Building.

In addition, anti-racism activist and author Tim Wise appears on Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in Gordon Commons.

“These programs provide entertainment and levity, impart education on important topics, and give back to the community,” said Patrick Dielubanza, BLSA’s vice president.

All events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Patrick Dielubanza.
