Description
The talk will address the new mandate in the India Companies Act 2013 that certain Indian companies form corporate social responsibility (CSR) committees, undertake CSR activities at the level of 2% of net profits, and report on what they're doing. These kinds of giving and/or reporting mandates are growing around Asia. Sidel will discuss the new mandate, and what it may mean -- it's still early days yet -- for Indian corporate giving, and for the nonprofit and NGO communities in India.
