Students (2Ls and 3Ls): For Fall 2016 courses that have the pass/fail option, the deadline is Thursday, December 8, 2016 by 11:59 p.m.  (One exception: Prof. Schweitzer's Law 922 SP Jurisprudence: Survey of Legal Systems. The pass/fail option due date for this course only is Monday, December 5 by 11:59 p.m.)

To choose the Pass/Fail Option for one (or two) of your Fall 2016 courses: go to https://secure.law.wisc.edu/grades/pf/

To be eligible to use the Pass/Fail Option choice: you must have earned 25 or more Law School credits prior to this semester, and have used less than 2 Pass/Fail Options during your Law School career. Note: Taking advantage of the Pass/Fail Option may affect your eligibility for Dean’s List (Law School Rule 8.05) and for Order of the Coif.

After you log-in using your Net ID and Password, the site will show only your current courses for Fall 2016 that are eligible for the Pass/Fail Option.

For full information on the operation of the Pass/Fail Option, see Read This First, Sec. 9.3 and Law School Rules 2.03. Remember, you may choose a Law course as your pass/fail option choice only two times during your entire law school career.

For more details see Jane Ford Bennett's email of November 11, 2016.
