Casaundra Lucille, Maro Kim, Julia Wells and Bethany Wilson competed in the 23rd Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot competition in Vienna, Austria on March 18-24. Third-year students Sydney Adams and Caleb Saunders served as their coaches.

Casaundra Lucille received an Honorable Mention for the Martin Domke Award for Individual Oralists. This year 2000 registered team members from 311 schools representing 67 countries competed in the moot.

The Moot involves a dispute, subject to arbitration, arising out of a contract of sale between two countries that are parties to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Teams submit two memoranda and argue four rounds at the competition.

Professor Jason Yackee is the faculty advisor for the Law School’s Vis Moot program.
