This is the fourth year that the Leonard Loeb Family Law Scholarship committee of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers is offering a scholarship of $1,000 or more for one of our students. In 2006, our winner received $5,000. AAML will invite the winner to a luncheon in early November to receive the scholarship. Criteria: a. A male or female student in the second or third year who is in "need" of funds; 2. A student volunteer in the local community and/or a participant in clinical programs that help the needy of promote public interest, including but not limited to, domestic violence; 3. An individual who may be a member of the ABA Law Student Division and/or a present or future member of the ABA Family Law Section; d. A student who has succeeded academically in a family law class and/or written about a family law related topic; 5. A student who has demonstrated an interest in practicing family law; 6. A student who has a high academic standing in his/her Law school class; 7. A student active within the Law School Community Process: Students must be nominated by a faculty member; they must also submit a personal statement and current resume. The nominations, personal statements and resumes go to: Ruth Robarts, Assistant Dean for Students, at rrobarts@wisc.edu or Room 5105 of the law school. Deadline: Nominations, personal statements and current resumes must be submitted to Ruth Robarts before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22.
