Fellowships to Study Chinese in Taiwan, 2007-2008 The Center for East Asian Studies announces Chinese Language Scholarships, provided by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China in Taiwan, to study for the academic year 2007-2008. The award provides $NT 25,000 (NT $32.5=US $1) per month toward expenses (NOT included are housing costs in Taipei, health insurance coverage and all travel costs). Applications must be received in the office of the Center for East Asian Studies by the DEADLINE: February 5th, 2007. A 2-page letter stating your reasons for applying, your study goals and (if applicable) research goals, and your experience related to China and Chinese language study. 3. A copy of your up-to-date transcript. Fellowships to Study Chinese in China, 2007-2008 The Center for East Asian Studies announces a one-year Chinese Cultural Scholarship, provided by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The scholarship covers tuition, instructional materials, housing, and medical care in addition to a monthly stipend for living expenses in China (equivalent to approximately US$100). Applications must be received in the office of the Center for East Asian Studies by the DEADLINE: February 5th, 2007.
