We welcome Yuanyuan Shen back to the University of Wisconsin Law School for a talk on a timely and headline-grabbing topic: managing challenges of import safety in a global market.  The talk, which is free and open to the public, is titled “From Plan to Market: The Development of China’s Food Safety Law.”

Yuanyuan Shen is a Lecturer in Economics at Brandeis University and a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School.  She has also taught at Beijing University, the People’s University of China, and the School of Law at Tsinghua University.  Dr. Shen received her doctor of law degree (SJD) from the University of Wisconsin and is also a graduate of the People's University in Beijing and Harvard Law School.

The talk is also being co-sponsored by Center for World Affairs and the Global Economy (WAGE), Global Legal Studies Center (GLSC), Wisconsin Project on Governance and Regulation (WISGAR), Food Research Institute (FRI), Center for Human Performance and Risk Analysis (CHPRA), and the Wisconsin China Initiative (WCI)
