This man served 10 years in prison, now he's a defense lawyer
Jarrett Adams' life story is one of triumph. But it's been a long road. When he was just 17, Adams was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault in Wisconsin and sentenced to 28 years in a maximum security prison for adults. Inspired by his mother and aunts, who wouldn't stop fighting for him, Adams decided to fight for himself. Desperate to prove his innocence, Adams reached out to the Wisconsin Innocence Project. His conviction was overturned, and the charges were dropped. Freed from prison in 2007, Adams began a new life, pursuing the college education. After obtaining his bachelor's degree, he went to law school, earning a law degree and beginning a career as a defense attorney.
