Please join us for "State of Grace"

May 8, 12-1:15pm, Overture Center Promenade Hall, Madison

Woven Harmony is a multi-media presentation by husband and wife team Robert Bluestone, classical guitarist and caretaker and Rebecca Bluestone, tapestry artist, ovarian cancer survivor and caregiver to her late mother who died of breast cancer.

Their 'State of Grace' presentation evolved out of their desire to use their artistic expression as a way to communicate about the things that they feel are truly important in life and to share how creativity and imagination can allow us access to connection, empathy and compassion. They are committed to going into a wide variety of healthcare settings sharing their artistry, relationship and experience with cancer. They are sensitive to not imposing a template from the outside, but rather to composing a presentation that is appropriate in each moment.

'State of Grace' is applicable for patients, family members, volunteers, staff and anyone committed to creating 'wellness' in their life.

Robert and Rebecca's presentation is a combination of the following:

Robert's music | Projected images of Rebecca's process and art | Sharing their individual stories of survivorship, | Dealing with death and caretaking | Addressing the role of creativity and imagination in rejuvenation and burnout for healthcare professionals and caregivers | Visiting individually or as a group with patients and caregivers
