The first six members of the University of Wisconsin Law School's Pro Bono Society graduated in December 2011 with pro bono distinction. Each student contributed at least 20 hours of pro bono service during their tenure at UW Law School. Graduates were recognized with an honors cord worn at the graduation ceremony and a certificate of Pro Bono Society membership awarded at the law school's graduation reception.
Pro Bono Society members receive certificates of membership and awards of pro bono distinction from Pro Bono Program Director, Ann Zimmerman.
