Twenty-one students from the May 2012 graduating class graduated with pro bono distinction and became members of the University of Wisconsin Law School's Pro Bono Society. Each student contributed at least 20 hours of pro bono service during their tenure at UW Law School. Graduates were recognized with an honors cord worn at the graduation ceremony and a certificate of Pro Bono Society membership awarded at the annual Honors & Awards Ceremony.
Pro Bono Society members receive certificates of membership and awards of pro bono distinction from Pro Bono Program Faculty Advisor, Ben Kempinen and Pro Bono Program Coordinator, Julia Zwak.
