Biography
Phillip A. Koss has been the Walworth County District Attorney since 1990. He was an assistant district attorney in Waupaca County from 1981 to 1985 and then an assistant district attorney in Walworth County until elected District Attorney.
Mr. Koss is a 1985 graduate of the career prosecutors course of the National College of District Attorneys. He has tried more than 150 criminal jury trials. He has lectured at many seminars for prosecutors on trial advocacy, and has taught Trial Advocacy at the Law School since 1998.
Mr. Koss was selected by Children's Hospital of Milwaukee to travel to Latvia in 2003 to address prosecutors, judges, and Parliament on the area of child abuse.
Mr. Koss is now a Judge on the Walworth County Circuit Court, Branch 1.
