Andrew Seaborg

Adjunct Professor


Andrew Seaborg is a partner at The Capital Group in Madison, Wisconsin.  He advises families, trusts and institutions on investment management, employer-sponsored retirement plans, and financial planning. Andrew holds an MS in Finance, Investment & Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 2007, he has served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he teaches Law 771: Asset Management & Financial Planning to third year law students.

Ranked number 34 on Registered Rep magazine's list of Top 100 Independent Advisors by assets under management in 2011,Andrew's client base is interesting and diverse. Individual clients include shareholders of small to medium-size businesses, C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies, highly compensated professionals, and trustees. Institutional clients include national purchasing cooperatives, charitable trusts, two hospitals, and numerous small to medium-size businesses.

Andrew serves on the boards of the Madison Public Library Foundation, Japan-America Student Conference, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Sociology Board of Visitors. He is a former member of the Wisconsin International Trade Council, an advisory board to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, and has held various offices at the District and Club levels in Rotary. Prior to graduate school, he worked as a statistical analyst and SAS programmer and did Japanese-English translation work in Tokyo.
