Biography

Christopher Ashley has served as System Legal Counsel for the University of Wisconsin System Administration (UWSA) since October 1999. Before joining UWSA, he spent almost five years as Assistant General Counsel for the National Science Foundation.

Ashley was in private practice with the Washington D.C. office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius from 1991 to 1995, in the Labor and Employment section.

Ashley received his B.A. degree in Economics from Swarthmore College in 1986 and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1991. He is a member of the Wisconsin, Maryland, and District of Columbia bars.
