Biography

Cindy May began her career at the Law School in the Criminal Justice Reference and Information Center, where she worked as a cataloger and reference librarian in the 1970s. She then moved into the library's technical services department as cataloger and later head of cataloging. Ms. May is the person to contact when you want to track down federal circuit court briefs or report an error in a MadCat record.

Ms. May is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries. She is past chair of the Technical Services Special Interest Section, and associate editor of the Section's newsletter.

An avid reader, Ms. May is a member of two local book clubs. She is also an enthusiastic traveller and theater-goer, and tries to get up to Ontario's Stratford Festival every summer. She has a daughter in New York and a son in Milwaukee, and shares her home with two very average-looking but charmingly manipulative cats.
