Biography

Grady J. Frenchick is a partner and co-head of the Life Science IP practice of the Madison office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. He formerly was a partner with another Madison-based law firm. Prior to that, he held positions as Senior Patent Counsel with Medtronic, a nationally known medical device manufacturer; Staff Patent Attorney with Economics Laboratory, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of specialty chemical cleaners; and Patent Attorney with 3M Company.

Mr. Frenchick received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin and has been an instructor at the University of Wisconsin Law School in advanced concepts of intellectual property law, patent prosecution, and basic patent law since 1995. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota School of Law, teaching patent, trademark and copyright law.

Mr. Frenchick is a member of the State Bars of Wisconsin and Minnesota, the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association, the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the District of Minnesota and the Western District of Wisconsin.
