Biography
Anne Smith is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is the co-founder and Co-Director of the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic at the UW Law School. Previously, she was the General Counsel for Winterthur U.S. Holdings, Inc., U.S. insurance holding company owned by Winerthur Swiss Insurance Company and Credit Suisse; and later became General Counsel for Promega Corporation a global life sciences company. Professor Smith's practice focused on general corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. She has most recently served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Care Wisconsin, a long term care service provider.
