He's been a member of the board of directors of the Section of Alternative Dispute Resolution of the State Bar of Wisconsin (2000-06), and, in 2002-03, he served as chair of the Section. In 2000-01, Mr. Peppard represented the American Bar Association's Central and Eastern European Law Initiative (ABA-CEELI) in consulting on arbitration and mediation program development for the Romanian Ministry of Justice and its Institute for Magistrates, as well as for that country's national bar association and national chamber of commerce. In 2006 he authored a reference text, Arbitration and Mediation of Business Disputes: A Wisconsin Practitioner's Guide, published by the State Bar of Wisconsin (CLE Books), now in its third edition.
