Biography

Virginia Meier graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a major in German. After several years working in the corporate trust department of a bank, she returned to graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and received a Master's degree in Library and Information Science.

Ms. Meier began her career at the University of Wisconsin Law Library in the acquisitions department, responsible for ordering and receiving new library materials. She is now a cataloger, and became the Head of Cataloging in July 2014.  Ms. Meier is active in the Law Librarians Association of Wisconsin, assisting with its newsletter and producing its directory. She is also a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Wisconsin Association of Academic Librarians.

In her free time, Ms. Meier serves as an officer on her condominium association's board of directors, and enjoys golf, gardening, music, travel, and watching most sporting events.
