Student Loan Repayment Strategies For Legal Careers with Natalie Daniels, AFC®, from the AccessLex Institute Center for Education and Financial Capability®

Student loan repayment can feel overwhelming, but you can chart a path to a debt-free future based on your specific income and career trajectory. During this event, an Accredited Financial Counselor® from AccessLex Institute® will cover common repayment strategies for different legal careers and essential details regarding repayment plan options, consolidation, and loan forgiveness programs. Attendees will receive an entry into the annual MAX by AccessLex® Scholarship Drawings.                                                                                                                  

Your Public Service Loan Forgiveness Action Plan with Natalie Daniels, AFC®, from the AccessLex Institute Center for Education and Financial Capability®
When: Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 12-1 PM

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program enables employees working for qualified public service employers to achieve forgiveness of their federal Direct Student Loans after 120 monthly payments on a qualified repayment plan. During this session, an Accredited Financial Counselor® from AccessLex Institute® will review the details of and recent updates to the program, as well as the steps you need to take to get on the right track for forgiveness. Attendees will receive an entry into the annual MAX by AccessLex® Scholarship Drawings.

One-On-One Financial Coaching Sessions with Natalie Daniels, AFC®, from the AccessLex Institute Center for Education and Financial Capability®

Natalie Daniels is offering one-on-one financial counseling sessions with current students to discuss personal finance planning and strategies. This is a great chance for students to gain financial planning insight and advice from a personal finance expert. Natalie Daniels is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®).

Federal Loan Repayment Strategies by Dr. Jeff Hanson

Dr. Jeff Hanson is a nationally-recognized economist who specializes in working with student loan borrowers regarding student loan repayment. This interactive webinar will focus on developing a strategic plan for managing loan repayment successfully, including selection of the payment plan that best achieves your goals, evaluating the pros and cons of refinancing federal student loans, taking advantage of loan forgiveness programs when you qualify, and more.

Dr. Jeff Hanson is a nationally-recognized economist who specializes in working with student loan borrowers to explore all options available for repayment, including the options available to you in managing this important financial responsibility while employed in public service. This interactive webinar will focus on developing a strategic plan for managing loan repayment successfully, including information about Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) plans, and Loan Repayment Assistance Programs (LRAPs).

Applying for Financial Aid and Scholarships for the 2025-26 Academic Year by UW Law's Office of Admissions and Financial Aid

The Law School Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will proivide an overview of the financial aid and scholarships application process for the 2025-26 academic year.
