Course Description







Law 935: Health Law and Administration (2-3 credits). The course covers access, financing, and quality of health care including the law and policy issues related to public programs (Medicaid and Medicare) and private health insurance. Managed care regulation, antitrust law, and liability claims, will be explored as well some introductory issues related to public health law. The course includes some discussion by outside experts and practitioners. The class is a combination of lecture and discussion, and is a variable course credit.  Students taking the course for two credits will have a take-home examination.  Those taking it for three credits will also submit a 10-pp paper.
