UW Law ranks eighth in nation for practical training

University of Wisconsin Law School was named one of the nation’s best law schools for practical training, ranking eighth in a recent report by The National Jurist magazine.

The top schools were honored in the Spring 2017 issues of The National Jurist and its sister publication, preLaw magazine. The rankings take into account clinics, externships, simulation courses, interschool competitions and other offerings, based on data from the American Bar Association and individual law schools.

UW Law School's wide range of experiential learning opportunities includes clinics in criminal and civil law, health care advocacy, and business law and entrepreneurship; externship placements with judges, state agencies and public interest organizations; moot court and mock trial programs; and simulation courses that prepare students for the real-life challenges of law practice.
