Three University of Wisconsin Law School alumni have been named State Prosecutors of the Year for 2012 by the Wisconsin District Attorneys Association:
- Tim Gruenke ’95, recipient of the State Prosecutor of the Year award, has served as La Crosse County district attorney since the governor appointed him in 2007.
- Theresa Wetzsteon ’98, who won the 2012 State Deputy District Attorney award, has been a Marathon County deputy district attorney since 2006.
- Bill Nemer ’78, winner of the State Assistant District Attorney of the Year award, has worked as an assistant district attorney in Trempealeau County for more than 30 years.
The WDAA selects award winners annually, based on nominations it receives from across Wisconsin. The three alumni received their awards at a WDAA luncheon held earlier this year.
