David M. Trubek is a professor emeritus at UW Law School. HE has written extensively on the role of law in development. In the 1960s, he served as legal advisor to the USAID mission to Brazil. Comments will be presented by Sarah Marinho, Brazilian lawyer and graduate student; Professor John Ohnesorge, UW Law professor and director of the East Asian Legal Studies Center.
