Those of you doing treaty research will be pleased to know that the Law Library recently added HeinOnline’s World Treaty Library to its electronic collection. This huge repository of U.S. and Non. U.S treaties allows researchers to search across current and historical treaties, dating from 1648 to the present, in one place.
Materials housed in this collection include Hein’s U.S. Treaty Index, United Nations Treaty Series, the League of Nations Treaty Series, Rohn’s World Treaty Index, and Martens’ Treaties. The database also contains a wide array of treaty related documents, as well secondary resources related to treaty research.
The World Treaty Library can be searched by keyword, title, countries, full text, treaty number, and more. It can be accessed in all UW-Madison libraries, as well as remotely by all UW-Madison students, faculty and staff.
For questions or for more help on searching this database, contact Sunil Rao, Foreign and International Law Librarian, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
