Each state's bar admission process will require certification of your J.D. degree. All degree certifications may be given directly to Amy Arntsen, Law Registrar (even if the signature required is the Dean's), Room 5107.

Some states (including Illinois) require certification that the degree has been received. Those certification forms may not be completed until it is verified that the student has passed all classes required for the J.D. For May graduates, this verification will occur in June. The certification forms may be given to Amy Arntsen now but they will not be certified and mailed to the appropriate Bar Admissions office until June.
