Law School Photograph

All law students must have their photograph taken. We recommend that you wear business casual clothing for your photograph, which will be part of your permanent Law School record.

  • Visit the Admissions Office in Suite 4314 with any financial aid questions.
  • Ask current students any questions you might have about law school, living in Madison, etc.

UW Law professors will lead a mock class to introduce students to the case method of teaching. Discussion will be based on reading assigned in advance. You should be prepared to discuss the assigned case and to answer the professor’s questions. The assigned case for each section will be posted on your Canvas page.

Get to know your LRW Section and Professor.

Mandatory Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Session

A new American Bar Association law school accreditation standard requires law schools to provide education on bias, cross-cultural competency, and racism at the start of the program of legal education and at least once again prior to graduation.  During this session, we provide an interactive program on social and personal identity, cross-cultural competency, and social justice.

Student Organization Fair

Learn about the many student organizations at the UW Law School and visit the tables of the organizations you might be interested in joining. You will also have an opportunity to talk with representatives from the UW Law Pro Bono Program and the Wisconsin Bar Association.
