Our longstanding tradition of diversity
At University of Wisconsin Law School, we've been committed to diversity for a long time.
Because we are a nationally prominent law school that is part of a world-class university, our students come from all over the country and from all backgrounds. They have a wide variety of life experiences, socio-economic backgrounds, professional experiences and professional goals.
Our long-standing tradition of diversity can be seen in programs like our Legal Education Opportunities Program, which since 1967 has served as a national model for the recruitment and retention of students from historically underrepresented groups, and our Hastie Fellowship Program, which has successfully prepared lawyers of color to become law professors for more than 40 years.
A community of support
Our faculty, students and administration provide a community of support for all students at the Law School. We are actively involved with our students, and dedicated to their success. We have a top-notch faculty, an innovative curriculum, and a welcoming and inclusive student community.
We encourage you to become a part of the UW Law community this summer as a Pre-Law Undergraduate Scholar!
