Bonnie Shucha

Bonnie Shucha is a Waunakee native who works at the UW Law School library. She has been there since 1999, when she was hired as a reference librarian. She is now the Associate Director for Public Services, the winner of numerous awards and author of several articles, her most recent being “White Slavery in the Northwoods: Early U.S. Anti-Sex Trafficking and its Continuing Relevance to Trafficking Reform.”

“It’s got virgins and villains, armed guards and attack dogs, yellow journalism, lies and political finger pointing, an amazingly strong heroine, and, of course, plenty of sex scandal,” Shucha said.
