Course Description

An introduction to the American common law tradition and the American legal system, especially for foreign law students and foreign and American graduate students.

Learning Goals:

At the completion of this course, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

1) The American legal system;
2) The Common Law system;
3) The structure of government under the U.S. Constitution; and
4) The U.S. Bill of Rights.
