Course Description

The Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic is envisioned as a two-semester transactional course to provide students the opportunity to work with startup businesses and entrepreneurial clients.  We anticipate legal needs relating to the creation of the business enterprise, such as contracts, intellectual property, tax and other issues facing the startup business.  The program will ultimately be housed in the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, when it opens in January of 2011.  In the current inception phase, the program will explore sites around campus where entrepreneurial activity is being pursued.  Experienced business law and corporate attorneys will provide guidance and supervision, as will a staff attorney.  Credits: 3 to 5.  Permission of the instructor required.  For more information and instructor's consent, contact Eric Englund at EricEnglund@charter.net
