Course Description
This class examines common issues in criminal Constitutional law that are a source of ongoing social, political, and judicial debate. Through a study of recent Supreme Court cases, the precedents on which they rely, and relevant academic commentary, students will improve their ability to identify recurring themes in the case law, frame legal arguments, and understand the limits of Constitutional law in addressing the concerns the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments are designed to safeguard.
