Biography
Deb Moritz is a Lecturer in Legal Writing. Ms. Moritz joined the Legal Writing Program in August 2011 after teaching in the program for many years as an adjunct. Ms. Moritz received her B.A. in History from Antioch College and her J.D. With Distinction from Hofstra University Law School. She taught Legal Writing and Research at Brooklyn Law School and at N.Y.U. School of Law. She also was a Motions Law Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and a litigation associate at the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. After moving to Wisconsin, Ms. Moritz was an associate at Stafford Rosenbaum until the birth of her children. From 1998-2011, she worked as a Staff Attorney for Districts I, II, and IV of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She is interested in Appellate Procedure and Legal Process.
