Ashley Duffy
Ashley Duffy has been awarded a 2016 Native American Congressional Internship from the Udall Foundation.
Duffy is a first-year student at University of Wisconsin Law School,
where she studies federal Indian law and environmental law. A
member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, she is one of 12 Udall Interns, who come from 11 different
tribes.
Udall Interns are selected on the basis of high academic achievement
and a demonstrated commitment to careers in tribal public policy. They will spend their summers working in Washington, D.C., where
they learn firsthand about the government-to-government relationship
between Indian tribes and the federal government.
Duffy plans to intern in the Office of the Solicitor for the U.S. Department of the Interior in the Division of Indian Affairs.
