Kelly Glienke and Amanda Riek (3Ls) have each won scholarships of $2,500 from the Milwaukee-based Association for Women Lawyers Foundation (AWLF). Both awards recognize law students from the Unversity of Wisconsin law School and Marquette University law School for outstanding academic achievement and contributions to the community. Kelly Glienke will receive the AWLF scholarship and Amanda Riek will receive the AWLF Virginia Pomeroy Memorial Scholarship at a luncheon in late September, 2010. The Association for Women Lawyers is well-known for its pro bono legal work, mentoring of new attorneys and involvement in the community.
