The Environment Law Section of the Wisconsin State Bar will award a prize of $1,000 for the best student essay on any topic in Environmental Law.  The competition is open to law students currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Law School. All environmental essays are welcome, and topics of interest to Wisconsin practitioners are especially encouraged.

Papers should be based on original research.  Submissions should be typed, double-spaced, properly documented, and roughly article length (7,500 - 10,000 words excluding notes).  People wishing to enter should deliver three copies of their papers to Professor Stephanie Tai, UW Law School, 975 Bascom Mall, Madison, Wisconsin 53706.  Deadline for submission is end of business on April 15, 2010.

For further information, contact Professor Tai by email, tai2@wisc.edu.
