Energy Hub hosts annual conference Nov. 4: “Greening the Grid”

With its upcoming free conference, “Greening the Grid,” UW’s Energy Hub (eHub) student organization continues its tradition of creating a forum to connect students with academic and industry professionals in addressing society’s energy challenges.

This year’s conference will explore the modern electricity grid and assess the opportunities for technology, business and policy innovations to improve grid reliability, security, efficiency, and affordability. The conference will highlight innovative energy technologies and green business models from industry leaders and will showcase the energy research happening at UW-Madison with a student poster session. Expert speakers from across the nation will address a student audience and be available to meet students and discuss energy-industry career opportunities.

The conference will be held on Friday, November 4 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery (330 N Orchard St. Madison, WI). UW students, faculty and staff can register for free at www.uwehub.org. Early registration is encouraged. Non-UW visitors may attend on a space-available basis.

Energy Hub’s has a mission to help students, researchers, and organizations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison connect to energy. eHub puts energy front and center by promoting energy literacy and connecting students with leadership opportunities in the energy field.
