University of Wisconsin Law School students Dan Lewerenz and Will Dalsen won the 18th Annual National Native American Law Students Association Moot Court Competition held February 19-20 in Vermillion, South Dakota.  Lewerenz and Dalsen won first and second place Best Oralist respectively after defeating UCLA in the final round of arguments.

The final round panel was composed of South Dakota Attorney General Marty J. Jackley, Hon. Robert A. Miller of the South Dakota Supreme Court (Chief Justice, retired), Hon. Jeffrey L. Viken and the Hon. Karen E. Schreier (Chief Judge) of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, and Hon. Roger L. Wollman of the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The following Indigenous Law Student Association (ILSA) teams, coached by Chandra Harvey and Cate Kellett, competed in the event:
