Director of the Resource Center on Impaired Driving Nina Emerson recently was awarded the Professional Service Award by the Addiction Resource Council in recognition of her outstanding career and contributions in the field of addictions. Nina has been with the Resource Center since 1992 which represents the combined efforts of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the University of Wisconsin Law School. As director, Nina provides a wide range of alcohol-related data and legal information on impaired driving issues to judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement officers, educators, legislators and citizens. She also plays an integral role in providing education and training programs on legal developments in traffic and impaired driving law.

Nina was the keynote speaker at the Addiction Resource Council's Annual Meeting held in March at which she was presented this annual award.
