Law students are invited, free of charge, to a seminar on running a law office. The seminar is scheduled for Friday, October 27, at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison. It is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with lunch provided. It is sponsored by Wisconsin Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company, and the keynote speaker will be Michael Brandwein, a University of Chicago law school graduate and former Chicago trial lawyer. Presentations will be made on topics such as building your own practice, communicating with clients, managing your time, setting fees, billing methods, and making your practice profitable.
