B.J. Ramsay and Sabine Arndt

Two people working at University of Wisconsin Law School were recognized this spring at the UW–Madison 2024-25 Student Employee of the Year Banquet.

Sabine Arndt, who is graduating in May as a political science and economics major with a criminal justice certificate, works in the Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD). Arndt, nominated by Associate Dean Emily Kite, won a $500 scholarship for her recognition in the category of Critical Thinking.

Arndt, who plans to go to law school, said the OCPD team has been the best part about working here, as well as gaining insight into her possible future. "As someone who wants to attend law school, this job has taught me a lot about different legal practice areas and the array of career opportunities with a J.D. degree," she said.

Circulation Law Librarian B.J. Ramsay also was nominated for Student Employment Supervisor of the Year by Law Library Associate Director Kristopher Turner.
