Professor David Schultz, chief staff member of the Wisconsin Criminal Jury Instructions Committee, was interviewed by Terry Bell of Wisconsin Public Radio for a January 12, 2010, broadcast on a new addition to Wisconsin jury instructions that cautions jury members against breaking deliberation rules through employing electronic devices during a trial. In other parts of the country, mistrials have been declared when jurors have done online research about their trials or written about them on blogs or social networking sites. An audio recording is available online in the WPR Archives ("Online gadgetry during trials cause problems.")

Previously, Schultz was quoted on this topic in the Appleton Post Crescent (available here).
