Welcome to the Law Library Badgers! With the start of the Fall 2025 semester, the Law Library is here for your research, reference, and study needs.
How can we help you?
Our recently updated website, http://library.law.wisc.edu, has a complete list of all our services, but here are some highlights:
- Study Rooms! We now have TWELVE study rooms available for private study, virtual interviews, and small-group collaborations. You can reserve them online https://law.wisc.edu/calendar/addons/room_reservation, or by stopping by the Circulation Desk. Be sure to check our one of our newest rooms, such as the Terrace, Bucky, Capitol, and Camp Randall rooms, and their corresponding artwork.
- Speaking of the Circulation Desk, this is the where to go to check out books—including Course Reserve material— or request books and articles from another library with Document Delivery.
- The Reference Desk is where to go to ask for help finding books, case law, articles, databases, or to seek assistance with Bluebook citation questions and to develop a research strategy. The Reference Desk can be reached three ways, in person, on Chat, and via email.
- Databases galore, you need them, we have them. To browse through our Top Law Databases, where you can find access to all sorts of legal documents and resources.
- We welcome suggestions, both for purchase recommendations and general ideas. You can use our online suggestion boxes or our physical box located in the fifth floor copy center.
There are so many other services and resources available in the Law Library, including your friendly Law Librarians, luckily you have all year to stop by and check them (and us) out. We’re here for you, please don’t hesitate to ASK and have a great semester!
