Researching Legal Topics is designed to help law students with their writing projects.   This guide includes tabs on how to find a topic, how to narrow a topic, and where to go to find secondary resources in print as well as where to locate specialized legal databases.  It also provides tips on how to research scholarly journals and where to locate empirical studies on a variety of legal and non-legal topics.  Another tab in this guide includes tips on citation management and advise on how to avoid  plagiarism and common citation errors.

You can locate the guide on Researching Legal Topics under Help and Guidance at the Law Library Web site.  Select Research Guides, then Subject Guides, scroll to Researching Legal Topics, or you can go directly to the guide by following link on this page:  Researching Legal Topics
