The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) ensures that the insurance industry responsibly and adequately met the insurance needs of Wisconsin citizens.  Their mission is to lead the way in informing and protecting the public and responding to its insurance needs.

Ms. Shaul is an attorney and has extensive experience in the insurance industry.  Ms. Shaul began her 16 year tenure at American Family as a litigation attorney for the Property and Casualty Claims Division. She then held positions as Assistant General Counsel, Life/Health Compliance Director before her current role as Claims Director. Prior to American Family, Ms. Shaul worked in a private law firm and also served as a messenger for the Wisconsin State Assembly.  She began her appointment at OCI in 2007.
